The impact crusher mainly relies on impact energy to crush materials. It has a large crushing ratio and high crushing efficiency. The rotor of the impact crusher is composed of a main shaft, a turntable, a blow bar, and a blow bar fastening device. Sand and gravel system impact crushers are welded with thick steel plates, thick-walled pipes, and castings. The mass of the rotor should be concentrated on the outer edge as much as possible to increase the moment of inertia. The main shaft and the rotor are tightened with a set expansion sleeve and connected without a key, which is convenient for disassembly and assembly, and has the function of overload protection.
The impact crusher is different from the hammer crusher in that it uses the kinetic energy generated by the mass of the entire rotor to impact and crush the material through the blow bar, while the hammer crusher only relies on the power generated by the hammer to impact and crush the material. Therefore, the rotor of the impact crusher must have sufficient mass to meet the needs of the crusher material. If the mass of the rotor is too small, the crushing effect will be reduced, and if the mass of the rotor is too large, it will be difficult to start.

The blow bar is a vulnerable part of the crusher, so its wear resistance or its service life is very critical. The principle of choosing the shape of the blow bar is that it is easy to manufacture and fasten and increase the service life.
Under the permissible conditions of strength and stiffness, when designing the rotor structure, the r value should be increased as much as possible, so that a relatively small mass can be used to generate greater kinetic energy. Therefore, not only the quality of the rotor but also the design of the rotor structure should be paid attention to, so as to increase the crushing effect. From the point of view of reducing the wear of the blow bar, it is developing towards increasing the rotor mass M and reducing the rotor speed.
