Jaw Crusher (English translation: Jaw Crasher), commonly known as Jaw Crusher, consists of two jaw plates, the movable jaw and the static jaw, to form a crushing cavity, which simulates the movement of the two jaws of animals to complete the material crushing operation. It is widely used in medium-sized crushing of various ores and bulk materials in mining, smelting, building materials, roads, railways, water conservancy and chemical industries. The maximum compressive strength of the crushed material is 320Mpa.

Introduction of Different Discharge Adjustment Devices of Jaw Crusher

When the liner of the jaw crusher is working, it will be continuously worn by ore, which will cause the width of the discharge opening to gradually increase. In order to ensure that the particle size of the product meets the requirements, the width of the discharge opening must be adjusted in time. There are three commonly used discharge port adjustment devices as follows.

1. Gasket adjustment device. The specific method is to put a set of adjusting backing plates behind the rear thrust plate support. When changing the thickness or thickness of the backing plate, the rear thrust plate can be moved forward or backward to achieve the purpose of adjusting the width of the discharge opening. This adjustment device has a simple and compact structure and does not increase the mass of the whole machine much, so large and medium-sized jaw crusher factories use this device. Its disadvantage is that it must be stopped when adjusting.

2. Inclined iron adjustment device. It uses bolts or turbine rods or chain transmission devices to make the rear inclined iron lift up and down, and the front inclined iron is installed in the guide grooves on the two side walls of the frame and can only move horizontally. When the back inclined iron is lifted, the thrust plate and movable jaw will move forward, and the width of the discharge opening will also decrease; when the back inclined iron is lowered, the width of the discharge opening will increase. The advantage of this device is that it can realize stepless adjustment, and there is no need to stop when adjusting. The disadvantage is that it takes a lot of effort to adjust, and the size of the whole machine increases, so it is only suitable for medium and small jaw crushers.

3. Hydraulic adjustment device. This adjustment device uses a hydraulic cylinder and a plunger to adjust the width of the discharge opening, and uses a manual or electric hydraulic pump to supply oil to the hydraulic cylinder. When adjusting, first loosen the nut of the tension spring, open the shut-off valve, start the hydraulic pump motor, and fill the two horizontal hydraulic cylinders at the back of the frame with oil, and the plunger will push the wedge iron to move forward. When it moves to the desired position , close the stop valve and adjust the thickness of the gasket.

Open the shut-off valve after adjustment, rely on the backward pressure of the movable jaw, thrust plate and connecting rod of the crusher to return the oil in the hydraulic cylinder to the oil tank, and recompress the tension spring to a certain position and then close the shut-off valve.
