Generally speaking, factors affecting jaw crushers are nip angle and number of rotation. Nip angle refers to the angle between mobile jaw and fixed jaw. According to calculation, the maximum size should be 320 , while real angle is smaller than 250 , generally rangs from 18 to 20. With over-big nip angle, ores in cavities may be squeezed up out and there might be damange to people or other equipments. With increase of nip angle(high crushing ratio), capacity will drop a lot. Thus, while grain size can be guaranteed, it’s reasonable to enlarge the discharge opening. Size of discharge openings can be adjusted via adjusting block, and people should pay attention to corelationship between crushing ration and productivity while adjusting size of discharge.
Within a certain scale, productivity of crushers can be enhanced by increasing rotaions of eccentric drafts. However, power cost for each unit weight will increase at the same time. With over-big rotation speed, crushed ores can not be discharged in time and there will be problems of product jams and cause low productivity finally, higher power consumption. Therefore, a proper rotaion speed should be set to jaw crushers.
Eccentric drafts, connecting rods, mobile jaw, draft and back plate are major wearable parts and should be lubricated and changed frequently.
